Bride: How long have you been doing what you do & how did you become a DJ/Master of Ceremonies?

Peter Merkle: I began my dj career managing the Chicago office of North America’s largest DJ service. Chicago Weddings by Global Heart Entertainment was started in 2000.

Bride: We love your services and your testimonials. Everything sounds fantastic… So, can you tell me what sets you apart from all the other DJ services?

Peter Merkle: Have you ever been to a wedding reception that was just plain blah, or the entertainment was downright annoying? And you know how wedding couples looking for reception entertainment have never done this before, are afraid they might make the wrong choice, don’t want a cheesy DJ, and get so overwhelmed they’re just freaking out? Well, I give them creative options that create a more clear, structured, pleasurable and enjoyable plan. What happens is they have a fun planning experience that few other DJ services can afford or have the willingness to provide.

Bride: This all sounds so wonderful, but it also seems so expensive. Are we going to be able to afford this?

Peter Merkle: When it comes to budgeting money for your entertainment remember these simple rules of thumb. The national average for DJ entertainment, according to national surveys, is between $900-$1200. However, if you want More Than Just Good Music, more polish than the Average Wedding DJ, and more creativity than the Typical Wedding Band. If you want yours to be “The Best Wedding Reception…Ever!”. You need someone who specializes in creating Entertaining Weddings, and delivering Unforgettable Reception Entertainment. Don’t settle for an Average Wedding DJ, search for the best Wedding Entertainment Director™ you can find.

According to the American Disc Jockey Association disc jockey rates vary based on talent, experience, emcee ability, service, coordination, equipment needed, music knowledge, mixing ability and personality. Rates for the DJ industry vary greatly, ranging from $350.00 to over $5,000.00 with an average of $1,200.00 for a 4 hour booking. The best price is not always the best deal, especially if you are planning a wedding.

As a matter of fact, surveys conclude that nearly 100% of brides would have spent more money on their entertainment and made it their #1 priority in hindsight. Our rates will not be near the cheapest and will not, in most cases, be over $5,000. You will have a choice of packages based on the type of experience I will design for you, the type of Wedding Dream Day Experience that is right for your Celebration. A full-service disc jockey company will normally invest 12 to 30 hours to your special event but it may appear that you are only paying for “4 hours”. Consultations, music purchasing & editing, preparation, set-up and tear-down, education and other business related endeavors add up to the overall success of your special occasion.

With Chicago Weddings by Global Heart Entertainment you will receive up to 23.5 to 39 or more hours of personal attention and magic making. If you’re like many of my clients, price isn’t the only thing that comes into play when deciding on who will DJ your event. Even though your DJ, Master of Ceremonies and Entertainment Director really matter to you, I get that getting an incredible value is a big deal. I say you should absolutely expect that! My commitment is to find the perfect match for your day, whether that’s me or not. My invitation is for us to connect first and work those details together. We’ll get you exactly what you’re looking for! Find out more about this through Contact Us and get a complimentary sneak peek copy into my Wedding Day Dreams (and How To Avoid The DJ Nightmare) by Peter Merkle book and my What I Like About You audio program.

Bride: Who do you work best with?

Peter Merkle: I work best with a bride and groom who are completely excited about creating an event that they, their family and friends will be talking about for a long time to come. These couples know they want to plan a great celebration, but just don’t know where to begin or exactly how to handle the details. At the same time they want the process to be enjoyable around their busy schedule.

Bride: Who is not going to benefit from your help in creating a magical atmosphere for their wedding?

Peter Merkle: A couple planning their wedding who are interested in only music. Because my service is More Than Just Good Music, more polish than the Average Wedding DJ, someone looking at only music will not be getting the most out of my Signature service which is creating a fun & memorable experience for their family, friends and guests.

Bride: Will I lose control of my wedding if you are planning it for me?

Peter Merkle: I help you create the plan for the ultimate vision of your wedding reception entertainment. I then become the Director and Spokesperson for that plan. You have complete control over the input for that plan as it relates exclusively to your Wedding Entertainment.

Bride: Will you work well with the vendors I’ve already found, or the people I really want to work with?

Peter Merkle: I deeply care about other wedding professionals who also care about making a difference in the world. I feel it is all our jobs to make that happen. So, yes, I play well with others. :)

Bride: Do you take credit cards and can we have a payment plan?

Peter Merkle: Yes.

Bride: Do you have liability insurance?

Peter Merkle: I think all wedding vendors should have liability insurance. Many wedding facilities make it a requirement.

Bride: Do you take more than one wedding per day?

Peter Merkle: No. One DJ/MC and/or assistant per wedding, per day. Your wedding deserves no less, and every service provider on your team should do the same.

Bride: This sounds like everything we’ve been looking for. What happens next to start the process?

Peter Merkle: The next step is for you to call me at 866.822.7293, Contact Us for your complimentary sneak peek into my book, “How To Create Your Dream Wedding (and avoid the DJ Nightmare)” and the audio program, or email me, to set up your Get Acquainted complimentary phone consultation. I want to hear about your needs, see if we’re a good match, and what package fits your personality, style and budget best.

You can also send my Contact Info to your Mobile Phone.

Bride: May we contact some of your former clients to see what it’s like to work with you.

Peter Merkle: Absolutely, Yes. You can also look at client testimonials here right now.

Bride: We have a couple more questions before getting started. Can I call you to discuss further?

Peter Merkle: Yes. In fact, I highly encourage and require all of our clients to schedule a complimentary consultation so that we can get all your questions out of the way, answered, and make sure that we’re a great fit for one another.
