Gifts for the Groom and his Buddies

The Groom and his Buddies
At the end of the wedding, when all is said and done, whether your groomsmen were there purely for moral support or spent hours doing everything you asked, each should to be thanked with a toast of recognition spoken from the heart, and a commemorative gift they’ll keep forever.
Colin Cowie has some great suggestions.

You enter celebrating into the time of your life. Think about how you want your guests and your wedding party to experience the Grand Entrance with you. People smiling, your guests cheering, everyone on their feet; it sets the tone for everything yet to come.
Pick some great songs.
Here’s a list of very popular Grand Entrance Songs.
You’ve Got The Look

Chicago Wedding Staircase
Where, when and how you exchange vows will influence what you wear down the aisle.
How you look is important. What’s more important is how you feel about how you look.
How you feel, of course, will show through. Just like how your guests will feel when they see how EVERYTHING looks at your reception.
Here are 3 things to help you (and your guests) look and FEEL great about your reception experience.
1. Details
Pay special attention to the details. There are many options and opportunities to put a special touch on your day. Do some research, talk to a professional, talk to anyone who has planned a wedding.
2. Include
Every choice you make should be about including your guests. Each detail should draw them further into the experience. As they are enjoying themselves, they will be more open to participate fully in the celebration.
3. Appreciate
Show your appreciation to everyone. Your parents, your family, your friends, your new spouse. The groom should toast you: “Doesn’t my wife look beautiful!” Your guests will then join in the appreciation. The result is that we are surrounded in the joy of your day and say: “Thank you. Thank you for falling in love and giving us a reason to celebrate.”
Do that and you will have The Look. For the rest of the story, check out Colin Cowie:

100 Days Until The Big Event

William and Kate Royal Wedding
As of today it’s 100 days before the big event. Someday soon it will be 100 days before your big event.
A crucial time to wrap up all the details.
What I find fascinating is this walking tour being given in London. It takes people to all the places that William and Kate went to during their courtship. It includes the Jeweler where Princess Diana got her ring (now on Kate’s finger), the clothing store where Kate worked, Westminster Abby, and Mahiki, a nightclub favored by the young and wealthy, and by paparazzi hoping to see them behaving badly.
The walk tells the story of their romance.
Why not take the guests at your wedding on a walk through your romance, by telling the story at your reception. It could be told by your BM & MOH, or your Master of Ceremonies. You could tell it with pictures, video, interviews with key people.
What a great way to bring people together around the fun, crazy, unique, and heartwarming story that is the tale of your romance. Your Love Story.
