Wedding DJ Contract Tips
What to look for and the importance of a wedding dj contract.
A wedding planner can help you wade through all the agreements you make with your vendors. But you’re a smart couple. Whether you have the resources to complete your planning on your own, or you hire a professional to guide you. The lowdown on a wedding dj contract:
- Date of event, location address, set up time.
- Expecting the most state of the art equipment money can buy, or will your dj drag in a banged up mess.
- Your wedding dj contract should be a personal agreement with your DJ
- Don’t trust your dj to play the right songs at the right time? Don’t sign. Have some input into what you like to dance to.
- That goes for the “Do Not Play” list too.
- Does your package include 4 hours? 5 hours? Get it in writing.
- How much and what it would cost to add more. Are they flexible with staying longer, or will they want to run out the door because “it’s been a long day”.
- Retainer, and when is the balance due. Is there a payment plan?
- Cancellation clause? What happens if the personal contract you have with the DJ who SIGNED THE WEDDING DJ CONTRACT is broken. What do you owe if canceling? What can you get back?
