Chicago Spring Weddings will soon be here. Are you ready? Let’s look at 3 ways you can have the best Chicago Spring Wedding!
It’s chilly out, there’s a threat of snow. But last week I saw a robin.
This is Matthew Wiebe’s pug. He’s a videographer in Toronto who loves taking photos.
The pug is the happy victim of Matthew’s fancy.
Chicago Spring Weddings
As a creative photographer Matthew likes to find interesting subjects, shoot them with just the right exposure. And he uses excellent composition.
You’ll see whimsy in his photos. Precise lines, texture. Interesting subjects.
So now that the hope of winter fading pulls longingly upon our dreams let’s think about how we can create some of these whimsical moments in your wedding.
That’s right, we’re going to MAKE THEM HAPPEN. Just like the superb photographs of Mr Matthew and pug. We are going to do these 3 things:
Choose our subject
As a wedding DJ and MC I like to find the VIP that will help create a moment and let them shine. As much as I guide and lead the audience to next experience I am also a part of the audience. Part of the audience in that I experience the same things they are experiencing as they happen. So as I transition from one VIP subject moment to the next I’m honoring the prior speaker as I build anticipation for the next. Without this it’s just some guy with a mic saying “Alright who’s next? Who wants it!” Choose your Chicago Spring Weddings subjects well and give them the light hearted whimsical treatment.
Choose our location
In Chicago Spring Weddings there are many backdrops for photographs to be taken against. Using the surroundings that show the time of year is a plus. The location gives your context, and gravity, and that reference to the sense of location. Which all puts it into place. A toast doesn’t happen at the entryway, an introduction won’t happen on the dance floor at the end of the night, neither would your First Dance. Can the guests see your face as the BM gives his toast? Is the FOB standing centerstage as he gives his speech?
Capture the moment
Nothing worse than a cake cutting that no one know happened. The cake is a powerful symbol placed appropriately right in the center of the dance floor for all to see. It’s a symbol for all the years to come, for the sweetness of this gathering, and for the sharing of all your best wishes. If we don’t set it up to capture the moment, the moment is lost. There are a number of obvious moments that will take place at your Chicago Spring Weddings. Let’s make sure we augment the usual and make the extra ordinary, and then create a few of your own. Your guests will say “Wow!”.
Until then I hope you enjoy the Pug In A Blanket. 😉
