You just got engaged and this is your first Chicago Thanksgiving together, with family, engaged and planning a wedding! Here are three things you can do this holiday weekend to help plan your wedding.
The season is upon us. It’s over the river and through the woods for you and your sweetheart.
Chicago Thanksgiving
You might be on tour this weekend. How do you spend time with both families? Is your family, or his family, out of town? Will you go from one family to the next, feasting your way through Thanksgiving? How special will your time be together with family this week? The first of many Thanksgiving together!
1. Start Planning
You don’t have to plan it all. You don’t even have to plan anything. You can just start the conversation. Make some distinctions and look forward to reviewing them later. Here’s a checklist of things to do (with a bonus Emergency Kit).
Will you talk about your beginning plans with anyone in the family?
2. Decide your top 3
In some of the few quiet moments you can grab for yourself, you can dig into the info that inspires you the most. Along the way you’ll start to make some distinctions. You might even be curious about a few enough to start to pick your top choices to look at more closely. It’s about starting with the big picture and getting down to the specifics.
You have the date, you have the ceremony location. What’s next?
3. Spend time with family
I think extra fondly of our booked clients this week. Why? This is the first of many firsts for you. The first Thanksgiving as an engaged couple. The deep relationships with family are made and shared. Giving thanks. Showing appreciation. Remember. Create memories. It’s your first Chicago Thanksgiving!
How will you spend your first Chicago Thanksgiving?
