Top Wedding Music Mistakes To Avoid
1. Not being involved in the planning from the start.
This is the biggest mistakes couples make today. They let their busy Lives get in the way of making time to begin planning their music choices. What happens is they end up crunching in the last few weeks before their event. When they should be taking care of all the other things that have slipped under the radar or pop up last minute. They run out of time and miss out on some of the most important musical elements of their party.

2. Not dressing up the music.
You’ve spent all this money on decor for the wedding wedding. Why wouldn’t you pay attention to how the entertainment looks. Speakers propped up on poles with legs sticking out. Cords hanging loose everywhere, the backs of gear open to the public.
To Do: Speak with your entertainment about the look of the event and what they can do to seamlessly fit in. Don’t let their gear be a sore thumb on your beautiful design.
3. Not meeting with the DJ.
This falls under the category of waiting to the last minute. Don’t do it. You don’t have to meet in person all the time. But at least once get a face to face (preferably before you put your money down to retain the date.
To Do: Plan a series of quick calls or texts to stay in touch. It will be so much easier than waiting till it’s too late.
4. Create a list of must-play songs.
Leaving this up to your band or DJ will get you the same old same old. Share your inspiration with them and let them use their expertise to put it all together
To Do: Make a list way longer than you will ever have time to dance to all of them. Then go back and priories your list. Use your DJ’s song list system (and make sure they have one, it’s a must) to come up with the best song list FOR YOU.
