Yesterday was National SendACardToAFriendDay #SendACardToAFriendDay If you’ve ever mailed a card or remember getting a card from a loved one you’ll know how special they can be.
NATIONAL SendACardToAFriendDay
You often think about friends and family. Wonder about how they are. You might miss them. You could also remember fond memories of times you’ve shared.
It can be such a nice surprise to get a card from someone.
What To Do
Technology has changed how we send cards. If you’re like me you have some cards stashed away for any occasion that might pop up. If you’re also like me you might like to make the card yourself. Either way you take the time to write s note and send one to a friend or family member.
If you’re sending notes on social media use #SendACardToAFriendDay to post.
The Past Into The Future
Writing notes was a regular occurrence in past history. There’d be ink pens and wax seals, and couriers to deliver the message.
Today you can send an eCard or online message. We read posts from people we know on social media and it’s like an instant note card update.
My Grandmother was big part of my childhood.
Fond memories of holidays, birthdays, Sundays, and Travel. I ended up being the only relative nearby to check in on her. She was a very dear lady to me. And someone who had experienced much hardship in her life.
She would always write sweet notes in her mother tongue. I remember how she’d stamp and seal the envelopes she was sending and then sit on them. She wanted to make sure the seal was good and strong.
I still have some of those cards she sent. The cards from birthdays and Christmases long ago.
Do you remember receiving a letter or a card? And how it made you feel?
