The Secret Behind Men and Wedding Planning is an age old tradition believing in how men have participated in wedding planning for ages. In this edition of the Grooms Workshop we take a look at this old belief and discover some new ways that men are getting involved.
The Secret Behind Men and Wedding Planning
How much do men care about wedding planning?
It’s a cliche to say that men don’t care at all. The thrill and anticipation of the wedding celebration can be an equal experience.
What ways do men typically spend their time planning?
- Tuxedo Shopping
- Budget Planning
- Venue Selection
- Choosing a Photographer
- Selecting Menu Items
- Hiring Entertainment
- Honeymoon arrangements
It doesn’t stop there. Invitations and rehearsal dinner input are included.
There is an interesting dynamic that takes place between a couple when they plan their wedding. Just as in anything someone has to take the lead. Dividing labor helps get the best results. But often it can be the one of the two who does some initial leg work and then presents it to the other. It’s a team effort.
Realizations and distinctions pop up that were unexpected and help define their choices.
Their biggest role is supporting their Bride in all the ups and downs and challenges of the planning process.
But do men “Dream” of their wedding day as woman do?
Often some of their design choices of having a Marvel Avengers themed wedding, or WWE Wrestling Theme are nixed by parents and the bride.
However some couples relate together to some adventurous, nerdy, and off beat ideas.
