Questions
It’s still as important today as it ever was to ask questions. There will be things that are important to you. Then there are things that you don’t know to ask. That’s what I love about the Throwback Thursday Wedding Music Tips. It has a link to all the RIGHT questions to ask. Some you thought of. Some you will want to considering.
Playlist
Does the playlist still matter? I think the playlist is one of the most important music items. It’s what people think of first when they think of a dj. So yes, it’s important to be able to pick your songs. Especially the ones you LOVE. At some point you will want to trust the DJ to do the rest.
Dancing in Lines
The question about line dancing. Honestly see less requests in Chicago at weddings for line dances. Thus as the expert I’m less inclined to LEAN on the crutch of using them to get people on the dance floor. There are so many other proven ways to pack a dance floor. (Did I mention playlists?) But as with everything: If you like it, we like it. If you don’t like it, we don’t like it.
Spotlight Dance Advice
The Ten Most Requested First Dance Songs, Father Daughter songs and more are listed there. They’ve changed. But getting the advice you need to choose well and how to choose is still significant today.
Last but not least:
Slow to Fast Dance
This is talking about the ratio of slow to fast songs. We’ll leave it to you to decide what you like the most.
