I think one of the most essential and powerful ways that we can be when planning a wedding is this. Kindness. It’s a language the deaf can hear and the blind can see.
The Dalai Lama said “There is no need for temples, no need for complicated philosophies. My brain and my heart are my temples; my philosophy is kindness.”
Heady woo-woo stuff? Or just what I needed to hear today? Spread kindness!
Because when you don’t think about anything bad that happened. You don’t worry about what may happen.
So don’t get stressed about what you can’t change. And whatever you do don’t listen to negativity. When planning a wedding it can try to creep in. Don’t be a prisoner of your own thoughts.
When you live in the moment you make it the best it can be.
Especially with so much information available today. It can be overwhelming. More so, not everything you hear should sound like the truth. They might just be opinions. And you’ll often find diverging opinions.
Just remember that no one else’s words can define the choices you make. Then you can begin to really feel comfortable with the choices you make.
My wife went wedding dress shopping. She stopped at a few dress shops. Ultimately at one shop she chose a dress and put down a deposit. She came home and couldn’t sleep all night. The choice just didn’t feel right.
She went back the next day. Cancelled the order. Got her deposit returned. Then continue the research until she found the most gorgeous dress. She looked beautiful in it and felt great as well.
Here are 5 ways you can extend your wedding celebration into Sunday.
