It’s far from what you imagined if you’re Getting Engaged During A Pandemic. Still true romance all over the world proves that love is still alive.
Getting Engaged During A Pandemic
First of all, stringent proclamations were put into place everywhere rolling through the first quarter of 2020. Entire countries on lockdown, all but non-essential business closed, citizens asked to social distance. All in order to stem the growth of the pandemic.
If you weren’t involved in a relationship when the order came through you were left to #stayathome alone. If you were already planning a wedding, plans were drastically halted.
If you’ve been in a relationship and were planning to pop the question, it’s taking a lot of creative thinking to move forward with your plans.
Throughout the pandemic there will still be proposals. Couples will even still get married as the first people to come out of the shutdown. And for that they will receive all our appreciation in bringing their joy for us to share.
We need good news in this world where too often we are fixed on the daily news reports of additional cases testing positive and more people succumbing to the illness. We try to balance that reality with humorous stories and videos online. But nothing is as powerful as theses stories of love.
Even Al Roker’s daughter got engaged during the height of the New York shut down.

Courtney Roker posted on Instagram: “I said yes to my best friend last night and I am over the moon!”
Finally, if you’re having a surprise proposal in this time of pandemic, just know that you are making a difference in the world. We celebrate you now, at a distance, and look forward to congratulating you in person as soon as we can.
